About Us

Founded in 2020, Yantu began as a User Research consultancy, partnering with other agencies to enable the successful delivery of public sector projects.

Underrepresentation In User Research

Prioritising Participants with Accessibility Needs

Over the last four years we have repeatedly come across the same problem: Recruiting participants with accessibility needs and disabilities. This problem is widely felt, even with established participant recruitment platforms introducing ‘bolt on’ and ‘free find’ services in an attempt to solve it. As researchers we’ve heard the term ‘free find’ more than we can count, which essentially means ‘we cannot meet your need for X number of participants with an accessibility need or disability, so we have to go and search for them’. The result of which is typically far from fruitful, which is why we’ve decided to tackle accessibility head on.

Breaking Barriers Together

Building a Platform for Accessibility Inclusion

As we’re in the business of meeting unmet needs, we decided to do something about it. Our vision is to create the world’s largest participant recruitment platform that is solely dedicated to individuals with accessibility needs and disabilities.

Designing for Everyone

We’re framing the proposition as ‘exclusively inclusive’, not just because no one else is doing it, but because individuals with accessibility needs or disabilities are underrepesented in the design process.

At Yantu, we believe everyone deserves equal access to digital and physical spaces, services, and products. To achieve this, it’s crucial to consider who you are testing your spaces, products, and services with.

Inclusive Design Starts Here

From Insight To Impact

Is this a good time to introduce what Yantu stands for? You Are Not The User. Contrary to popular belief, user research isn’t listening to what the business wants, nor is it a discipline centred around what you think you know about your customers. It’s about giving your users a seat at the table and producing actionable insights to become an experience-led organisation. We’re here to make sure some of those seats are filled with people whose feedback will enhance the inclusivity of the product or service in question.

Equal Opportunities

Leading the Charge for Accessibility and Equity

We are fighting for a more equitable and accessible future for everyone. As the first participant platform dedicated to those with accessibility needs and disabilities, we’re one step closer.
